Foundation in accountancy is the introductory level diploma introduced by ACCA.
It has 7 exams in total.If candidates want to get CAT (Chartered Accounting Technician) diploma too they have to appear for further two exams to qualify for CAT.
FIA Diploma is divided into three levels
- Introductory Certificate in Financial and management accounting
- Intermediate Certificate in Financial and management accounting
- Diploma In Accounting and Business
Candidates are issued with certificates on completion of each level.
Candidates have to complete (Foundation in Professionalism) an interactive module in order to fully qualify for FIA diploma.
FIA qualified candidates are exempt from F1-F3 exams of ACCA so they have to take from F4 if they wish to continue their journey with ACCA.
